Retrieval. An experimental short.

I knew I wanted to capture the feeling of actively remembering moments as a singular human experience and trait, something we do even when we don’t know it. This can be so fond, but also incredible lonely. I wanted this all in one place.

Walls of sound and personal imagery were so important to me when making this. I utilized some clips that I shot spontaneously ages ago, as well as old film photos of my friends and travels. On top of this I even found miscellaneous videos of mine and layered only the sound. A very cathartic project.
